Ribbit Royale is a free browser game run by an independent developer. This page explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have.
What we collect
- If you play as a guest: a random guest ID kept in a cookie, and the knight name you type. Guest matches don't save progress.
- If you create an account: your username, email address and a scrambled (hashed) copy of your password. We never store the password itself.
- If you sign in with Google: your Google account ID, name and email, sent to us by Google through Firebase Authentication.
- Game data: kills, deaths, matches, wins, levels, Kingdom Coins, cosmetics and battle-pass claims.
- Technical data: your IP address, used briefly to limit repeated sign-in attempts, and messages you send in in-game chat, which other players in the match see.
- Settings in your browser: sound, controls, colors, avatar and similar choices are saved in your own browser's storage and never sent to us.
Cookies
We use one cookie of our own, kingdom, to keep you signed in for up to 30 days. It isn't used for advertising.
Advertising
We show ads through Google AdSense, only on the main menu and in the shop, never during a match. Google and its partners use cookies to show ads based on your visits to this and other websites. You can read how Google uses information from sites that use its services, and turn off personalized ads in Google's Ad Settings. If you're in the EEA, the UK or Switzerland, you'll be asked for consent before personalized ads are shown.
"Watch ad" rewards are optional. Watching one tells our server only that an ad finished, so we can add Kingdom Coins to your account.
Other services the game loads
- Google Fonts for the game's lettering.
- SoundCloud, only if you turn on the in-game radio.
- Cloudflare, which carries traffic to our server.
Each of these services gets your IP address when your browser contacts it, under its own privacy policy.
How we use it, and who sees it
We use your data only to run the game: your account, saving progress, leaderboards, and stopping abuse. We don't sell it. Your username and stats can appear on the leaderboard, where other players can see them. Your email and password are never shown to anyone.
How long we keep it
We keep account data while your account exists. Sign-in sessions expire after 30 days. Ask us to delete your account at any time and we'll remove it.
Children
The game isn't aimed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their personal information. If you think a child has made an account, contact us and we'll delete it.
